 Power to arrest training is a 8-hour course required by the State of California for security officers and other personnel who may need to detain or arrest suspects. The course covers the legal aspects, techniques, liability, and company requirements of making a citizen's arrest, as well as the rules and regulations for searches, frisks, and documentation.

 

During our Power to Arrest training, we give you more than the words needed to answer a quick question on a quiz. The rules encased in the American Constitution dealing with how a citizen can execute an effective, legal, and defendable arrest are complex.

 

Our training involves an experienced instructor guiding your through. Patrol procedures, de-escalation, use of force, and officer safety.  After passing the course you will be able to complete your Live Scan fingerprinting and we will guide you through completing your application to the state to request a security guard permit.

 

We will help you to understand the rules of applied and implied force, types of crimes, and options for responses.
