What Is Included

Security guards are an organization’s point of contact. You represent not only the security company you are employed by, but also represent the client who has a contract with your organization. You are required to set the tone for all your interactions with the public accessing the organization where you work. The client has put their faith in your ability to treat all internal and external customers with dignity and respect.

Through this course, we will improve your ability to recognize gender and racial harassment. We will explore stereotyping and our attitudes that impact respect for others.

We will cover substance abuse and mental illness situations that you may encounter.

We will discuss how ethics and professionalism is displayed through your professional appearance, while you display command presence and adhere to proper conduct.

As a security guard, you will be called upon to utilize your verbal skills possibly in a crisis. Our course introduces de-escalation techniques for everyday use.

Guard Duty Corp Difference

While online security guard training courses may offer convenience, they cannot compare to the benefits of learning in person from a qualified instructor. Online courses can be seen as a shortcut to getting a certificate, but lack the personalized attention and practical experience provided by in-person training. It is my sincere pleasure to write a review for Dr. Will. I took the Basic Firearm class, in January 2023. I was a person who never felt there was a need to handle, let alone be in possession of a firearm. Dr. Will made me, and the other members of the class feel comfortable. He shared information with us, that allowed me to make my best decision. Secondly, I felt his patience and clarity in instruction made the class rewarding and informative.  We finished the classroom instruction with training at the firing range. The range experience was positive because I could use the information given in the classroom setting with practical application.
