What Is Included

Security guard post orders are a set of guidelines and instructions that a security guard must follow while on duty at a specific post or location. These orders help ensure the safety and security of the premises and everyone within it. Here are some key components that should be included in security guard post orders:

Duties and Responsibilities: Clearly outline the duties and responsibilities of the security guard, including tasks such as patrolling, monitoring access points, and responding to emergencies.

Entry and Exit Procedures: Specify entry and exit procedures for employees, visitors, and delivery personnel. This can include procedures for verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and inspecting packages.

Security Measures: Detail the security measures in place, such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control systems. Also, outline the procedures for responding to security breaches or suspicious behavior.

Emergency Procedures: Describe the emergency procedures, including evacuation procedures, medical emergencies, and fires. This should include specific instructions on who to contact and how to communicate during emergencies.

Incident Reporting: Detail the procedures for documenting incidents that occur during the security guard’s shift. This should include incident reports and a record-keeping system for monitoring incidents over time.

Communication Protocol: Specify the communication protocol for the security guard, including how to communicate with other security personnel, law enforcement, and emergency responders.

Personal Conduct: Establish guidelines for the security guard’s personal conduct while on duty, including dress code, behavior, and language.

Post-Specific Instructions: Include any additional instructions specific to the location or post, such as hazardous materials or restricted areas.

By including these key components in security guard post orders, security guards can effectively carry out their duties and responsibilities and help ensure the safety and security of the premises and everyone within it.

Guard Duty Corp Difference

While online security guard training courses may offer convenience, they cannot compare to the benefits of learning in person from a qualified instructor. Online courses can be seen as a shortcut to getting a certificate, but lack the personalized attention and practical experience provided by in-person training. In-person training provides students with the opportunity to receive real-time feedback and personalized attention, as well as the chance to practice their skills in simulated real-world scenarios.

In a classroom you can ask questions, debate situations, and engage in experiential learning that reinforces the complex rules and regulations associated with the security field.

Why try to teach yourself how to be a 21st-century security guard when you can have our experienced staff with over 20 years of security and law enforcement experience guide you?

Renee’ Jackson, CA

It is my sincere pleasure to write a review for Dr. Will. I took the Basic Firearm class, in January 2023. I was a person who never felt there was a need to handle, let alone be in possession of a firearm. Dr. Will made me, and the other members of the class feel comfortable. He shared information with us, that allowed me to make my best decision. Secondly, I felt his patience and clarity in instruction made the class rewarding and informative.  We finished the classroom instruction with training at the firing range. The range experience was positive because I could use the information given in the classroom setting with practical application. Once again, his attention to detail, clarity in instructions, and patience made the experience positive and the knowledge valuable.
